Pen Piano

Pen Piano’s sound in its original form is a KAWAI GL-10 Baby Grand Piano combined with metal and plastic pens placed horizontally on the piano strings. The purpose was to create an Ableton Live sampled instrument, that would work not only in the musical domain, but which could also be a tool used for sound design and effects; a “flexible” instrument which components can be changed, repositioned and manipulated in variety of ways by a user.
